Frau Schurman-Kauflin macht wenigstens kein Hehl daraus, daß es in ihrem Buch um das Geschäft geht, das sie mit ihrem Violent Crimes Institute betreibt: “Your Guide Into The Deviant Mind TM“.
Trotzdem ist das Buch empfehlenswert, weil es die ganzen populären Mythen über Serienmord im Allgemeinen, weiblichen Serienmord im Besonderen ausbreitet – vom Giftmörderinnen-Stereotyp bis zur Rolle, die die spezifisch weibliche Phantasie bei der Entwicklung zum predator, zum Raubtier spielt. ‘Trolling for victims’: genau das ist das Konzept, das hinter dieser Publikation steckt.
